Celebrating and supporting cultural traditions

The Minneapolis American Indian Center provides educational and social services to more than 10,000 members of the Minneapolis American Indian community every year. We preserve and support American Indian cultural traditions through art, youth, and inter-generational programs.

Family Services

Culturally specific programs to support Native women, mothers, and families. Programs include the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) services, Indigenous Women's Life Net, Bright Beginnings, Early Intervention, and Family Stability.

Boys and Girls Club

Golden Eagles and Sacred Leaders are culturally tailored programming for Native youth. The Best Buy Teen Tech Center provides space for learning and enrichment.

Culture Language Arts Network

Culture Language Arts Network (CLAN) provides opportunities to learn and practice our cultural traditions and language.

Workforce Innovation

The Workforce Innovation Opportunities Act (WIOA) program supports economic self-sufficiency through employment and job training programs for Native Americans in Minnesota.

Native Fitness and Nutrition

Native Fitness and Nutrition (FAN) works to reduce health disparities in the local American Indian community by reducing the prevalence of obesity and obesity-linked diseases. Native Elders Support Team offers community and enriching activities for Native elders.

Gatherings Cafe

The Gatherings Cafe serves healthy Indigenous-inspired meals. Currently closed for renovations. The cafe will reopen May 2024.
